Major League Baseball 2K11 or, in short, MLB 2K11, is a MLB licensed baseball simulation video game published by 2K Sports. MLB 2K11 will be available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and Wii.[1] 2K Sports announced via the game's facebook page that the official release date will be March 9th, 2011.

Cover athlete[]

Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay of the Philadelphia Phillies has been announced as the MLB 2K11 cover athlete, replacing Evan Longoria from MLB 2K10.

Promotion[]

In January, game publisher 2K Sports announced that last year's contest will return, where players have a chance to win $1,000,000 for pitching a perfect game on the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the game.[2] This year's contest promises more competition, as the entry requirements have been lowered to accept those 13 years of age or older.
